Triple Minority Its no secret that racism is alive and well in the United States. Racism against blacks has been an ongoing social issue since the start of this country. We do not hear as much about it now as we once did. It is being hidden because everyone is making an effort to be politically correct. Prejudice affects everyone, however. Women too, though women make up the majority of the US They are still considered a minority because of the discrimination they face.
